I have gotten so many positive response to my look today that I decided to dedicate a post to it. I like to call this a fusion of decades or crossover of decades.
I am mixing styles of the ’40s, ’50s and ’60s today. Although I am a big lover of ’50s hair and style, I can’t help but sometimes make a small trip to the ’40s and ’60’s. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love the cute ’40s dresses and a good poofy ’60s beehive?
What it typically ’40s is my Heartbreaker Heart of Haute Diane Wrap Dress. This is an ideal dress for warm weather since it is super comfortable and made of a very beautiful and high quality cotton. Heart of Haute is a great brand that doesn’t get enough attention to my liking. They all the pieces are made in the US and is 100% sweatshop free. As the slogan of Heart of Haute states, made with love in California and with no regrets!
I have created a ’50s touch by making a little roll in the front part of my hair, combining it with a hair flower, and the ’60s come back in the little beehive I created by just teasing my hair a bit adding some hairspray, twisting it and pushing it up. This was just 5 minutes of work this morning!
Oh and don’t you just LOVE the VW bus that was in the parkinglot this morning? The ideal accessory!
